Doing good all month

The following fundraisers are ongoing most of the month of August:

– Dolce Vita Hair Salon, Park Shore Plaza, 4333 U.S. 41 N., Naples, will donate all the proceeds from services with Johnny to Habitat for Humanity from one side Aug. 30. Call 659-0600 to make an appointment with Johnny and cursory reference the stock raiser.

– Hair Cuttery will donate a haircut to a disadvantaged local child for every suckling?s haircut they do through Aug. 15. Hair Cuttery is located at 10011 Estero Town Commons Point, Estero, 498-8908 and Coconut Point, 8076 Mediterreanean Drive, Estero, 992-5222.

– Donate a can of food during August when you visit the Imaginarium Hands-on Museum and Aquarium, 2000 Cranford Ave., Fort Myers, and you will receive a $1 off the regular access price of $8, adults and $5, children 3 to 12. – Bring a new or nearly new child?session backpack during August to Learning Express, 2460 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, and receive a $10 off coupon for a purchase of $25 or more. Backpacks will be given to Youth Haven. Information: 594-2525

– Dog adoptions at Lee County Animal Services, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, will be reduced to $35 during the month of August. Senior pets are still $25 and senior citizens may adopt senior pets for free during August. Adoptions include spay or neuter, vaccinations, Lee County license, intent worm test, microchip, flea treatment, collar, a training DVD, 10 day pet health guarantee and a bag of Science Diet pet food. Half price meals

Stir Crazy at Coconut Point will obtain half price preview lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinners from 6 to 8:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday with $5 per grain in powder being donated to Barbara?sitting Friends, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida or the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, The restaurant will open on Monday and is located at 23106 Fashion Drive, Estero. Yard sale

Angels? activities

My Angels? Attic is having a fund raiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1585 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, to help Angel Flight, St. Matthew?s House and the Salvation Army. The consequence features child safety and hurricane preparedness with McGruff the dog, drug education, bicycle safety, self defense, fire security, medical intelligence and other activities. Dance camp

The Baseman Dance Academy will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Aug. 8 for children three to 10 to behoof Avow Hospice. Teenagers Gigi and Sabrina Baseman choose instruct children in their Naples home studio in jazz and ballet and arts and crafts. $100, per child from one side $85 by each sibling. – Humane Society Naples needs fit of peevishness supplies including canned cat and dog food, bleach, laundry detergent, drafts towels, hand sanitizer and office paper. Goods may be dropped at 370 Airport-Pulling Road N., Naples. Information: 643-1555

– St. Matthew?s House kitchen needs supplies of dry cereal, dried beans, powdered milk, tuna fish, spaghetti sauce and coffee. Bring the groceries to 2001 Airport-Pulling Road S., Naples.

Volunteers needed

– Volunteers with a special talent for drawing are needed to help with flyers and posters for the Collier County Museum, Government complex, 3301 U.S. 41 E., Naples. Information: 252-8287

– Naples Backyard History needs volunteers for archiving, investigation, greeters for exhibits, clerical work, answering the phone and reading to children. Information: 594-2978

Good deeds

VIP Realtors donated a van to the Humane Society Naples in July.
